Refugees have left home and hearth and end up in a completely different world. In a new country with a foreign language, different culture and rules. These newcomers can use a helping hand in all kinds of areas and they desperately need your helping hand. For example, when learning the language, showing the way in the city, doing fun things together or helping with administrative questions and practical matters.
Do you like to help others or do you want to do fun things and are you interested in other cultures? Then look further and discover what you can do as a volunteer to help a newcomer or refugee (further) on their way.
Do you also want to do something for refugees in Haarlem or the municipality of Bloemendaal? Going out with Mo, drinking coffee with Karina, helping Aïcha fill in forms or exploring the area with Carlos?

You are also very welcome to visit our information point at Gedempte Oude Gracht 20 in Haarlem. This is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 13:00 and 17:00. You do not need to make an appointment for this.
