Sultan's Trail A European Cultural Route

For a small walking and cycling foundation we are looking for volunteers who want to draw OpenStreetMap around the routes that we walk and cycle. You can also make maps later. You do not need a specific background to draw, but you do need program knowledge to make maps. We ensure that you have sufficient knowledge to do everything properly. Draw, or the map makers group, meets on Tuesday mornings to discuss the work and make an action plan together. Together we deliver a good product for walkers and cyclists and of course everyone who uses the maps on the internet. If you enjoy developing maps together in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, send us an e-mail or call us. Warm regards and see you soon. Sedat Cakir

Stichting De Baan

Are you ready for a big challenge that really makes a difference? Stichting De Baan has been around for over 50 years and is the place to be for people with disabilities, made possible by 180 enthusiastic volunteers. My personal mission is that we are also that place for our wonderful target group that does not know us yet. Who want to meet new people, participate and just want to do a fun activity. Will you take on this challenge with me? Stichting De Baan is looking for volunteers who will help us to put ourselves on the map even better. My idea? I want to bring together a small group of marketing, communication and PR experts and go out of the box. Everything is negotiable: once a month, project-based, working from home, at the office... I would love to talk to you about what your passion is! What are we going to do? We are going to put Stichting De Baan on the map in Haarlem and the surrounding area. We recruit participants, sponsors and volunteers through everything we can think of together. Do you already have some great ideas? What gives you energy? Passion and expertise in the field of marketing, communication and/or PR that you would like to use to put Stichting De Baan on the map as the place to be for people with disabilities. You really want to make a difference and are excited to do this together. What do you get in return? Not only is Stichting De Baan a super fun and warm place where there is room to implement your creative ideas and really make a difference. The best thing is the smile of our participants when we manage to reach and involve them. Do you have questions, ideas, would you like to brainstorm or do you want to register immediately? I am Vincent van Münster, proud director of Stichting De Baan, and I would like to invite you for a cup of coffee. You can reach me via [email address hidden] or on [phone number hidden].

Humanitas

In addition to a good conversation, are you also a fan of (pop) music or does a movie night appeal to you? Remco (63) is a calm, well-developed man with whom a volunteer (non-smoking) can build a good bond. Due to a physical disability, he is often housebound and needs more social contacts and activities. Do you have some time to spare and would you like to get to know Remco? As a Humanitas Ontmoeting volunteer, you will regularly visit someone who feels lonely or has few social contacts. Humanitas provides customized solutions for the connections: the click between you is therefore important. The contact can consist of a nice chat, an in-depth conversation, a game, a walk, a museum visit or another activity outside the home. You agree together how often you will visit. Who are you? • You recognize yourself in the standards and values of Humanitas: you stand next to the participant, do not take over the direction and focus on the other person's question. • You have a genuine interest in others and are not quick to judge. • You have good social and communication skills. You have life experience, a sense of humor and a great sense of perspective. What do we offer? Good education and personal guidance. Trainings (both physical and online) enable you to do your volunteer work as well as possible. Regular follow-up meetings. Third-party insurance: if you cause damage, it will be reimbursed. Travel expenses (mileage allowance for the car / public transport costs). Does this call appeal to you? Then I would like to get in touch with you as soon as possible. KidsCare Kenia

Are you a driven and creative person who wants to inspire and mobilize schools for a special cause? Do you have a heart for vulnerable children and families in Kenya and an affinity with Dutch primary education? Then the KidsCare Kenya Foundation is looking for you! Inspire primary schools in the Netherlands and contribute to a better future for children in Kenya. KidsCare, together with Wilde Ganzen, is organizing a unique awareness and fundraising campaign at primary schools in the Netherlands in 2025. The goal? Making children aware of global citizenship and together raising €10,000 for families in Lungalunga, Kenya - an amount that Wilde Ganzen will double. The campaign is concrete and tangible: students save for chickens and cows, with which the most vulnerable families in LungaLunga can build a sustainable income. The campaign will take place in the first half of 2025, with Wilde Ganzen organizing a national campaign week at the end of April. As a coordinator, you will play a crucial role in this. What will you do? As coordinator, you are the driving force behind this campaign. You motivate schools to participate in a way that suits them, help them think about the content of their campaign and support the implementation. In addition, you can use our specially developed educational lesson package, with which students not only learn about Kenya but are also inspired to take action themselves. Together with KidsCare and Wilde Ganzen, you make this campaign a success! Your responsibilities • Enthusiasm for primary schools to participate in the campaign. • Guiding and supporting schools in organizing awareness and collection campaigns. • Coordinating the distribution of KidsCare's educational workbooks and materials where desired. • Developing creative and interactive lesson ideas that tie in with the national campaign. • Maintaining contact with schools, teachers and students to stimulate involvement and enthusiasm. Who are you? • You have an affinity with primary education and/or educational projects. • You are creative, proactive and have strong communication skills. • You can work independently, but you also know how to motivate and collaborate with others. • You have a passion for development cooperation and are passionate about the mission of KidsCare Kenya. • Experience with education, communication or fundraising is a plus, but not a must. • You are available for an average of at least 4 hours per week during the first half of 2025. If there is mutual enthusiasm, the position can be continued after this action. What do we offer? • An inspiring role in which you make a direct impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families in Kenya. • The opportunity to make children in the Netherlands aware of their role in global cooperation. • Become part of the KidsCare family, both in the Netherlands and in Kenya. • Gain experience in project coordination, education and fundraising. • Flexibility in determining your hours and Join us! Do you want to make a difference with your enthusiasm and commitment? Contact us. Together we ensure a better future - for children in the Netherlands and Kenya! Register here now and show your impact!

Numbers and populations of amphibians are under great pressure due to various causes, including the increase in traffic intensity. The numbers have decreased by 60% since 2000. The efforts of volunteers contribute significantly to the continued existence of local populations of toads, frogs and salamanders. In the Kennemerland region, more than 300 volunteers are active in 16 toad working groups at 37 different amphibian migration locations. Approximately 20,000 toads, frogs and salamanders are safely transferred each year. The migration usually takes place between early February and mid-April. In order to contribute as a volunteer, a fixed time in the week (more is also possible) is preferred. At the Elswout-Koningshof toad working group, the activity consists of transferring amphibians from buckets along guides in the morning. If you are interested, please state: Elswout-Koningshof location. More toad working groups are active within the boundaries of the municipality. If you prefer Bleek en Berg, Duin en Daal, Brouwerskolk, Alverna, Elswout-Koningshof or Aerdenhout, please indicate this when interested. Activities take place there in the evening and/or morning.
