In the De Wereld community center, volunteers prepare a meal for a group of 20 visitors every Monday. Every month a new menu is put together for which people can register. The cooking group currently consists of three permanent volunteers, but sometimes others also join. We would love it if we had an extra volunteer who would like to help us cook and eat. Do you enjoy cooking and are you available on Monday evenings? Let us know!

On behalf of a resident of the neighborhood, I am making an appeal! ''I am looking for (a somewhat) older woman who wants to be my buddy and wants to do activities with me. I prefer to go to the shops, black market, cinema or theater together. I like to be picked up at home and brought home. I am a 58 year old woman myself, I work during the week but in the weekend I am often at home alone. I would like to see this change and with this appeal I hope to meet someone!?'' Madam would like to do something fun with a buddy every now and then. Madam does not have a car/driver's license, but would like to get in with you or possibly with public transport. Doing something fun together, who wouldn't want that? I hope to find a nice match through this way, I will be present at the introduction. For more information, you can contact me. :) I look forward to receiving your response, Jody Vermeulen - Generalist Neighbourhood Team Europawijk - Molenwijk [phone number hidden] [email address hidden]

The Zoefzoef Haarlem offers transport in and around the neighborhood, reliable, flexible and pleasant. This transport service is for everyone and especially for people who are less mobile. We want to ensure that people remain as independent as possible, can continue to participate and meet others. Transport with our electric car is intended as a supplement to existing transport (taxi, healthcare taxi, public transport, voluntary emergency service). We drive on request and from door to door, distances of up to 5 kilometers. The driver can help with getting in and out, a walker and groceries. The passenger pays a small fee. Volunteers are the driving force behind the Zufzoef. Fun, service and a well-organized organization are central. Tasks – Accepting requests for rides by telephone (usually elderly people) – Planning the journeys in such a way that it is pleasant for the passenger and well organized for the driver. – First point of contact for drivers during the service provision. – General office tasks; answering emails, arranging facility matters, updating members and volunteer administration, possible PR tasks. – Identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement in planning and being prepared to think about solutions. The journey planner is an important link in the smooth running of services. Job requirements We ask our journey planners: - Customer service; correct and pleasant interaction with passengers on the telephone – Journey planners are not only journey planners, but also ambassadors of services. We are looking for volunteers who are involved, positive and socially committed and have a hands-on mentality. – You can work well together: You contribute to a joint result. Share information that may be important to others. Dare to ask for help. Stick to the agreements that have been made. – You are patient, friendly, stress-resistant, flexible. Prepared to look for tailor-made solutions. – You have an affinity with the target group. These could be people with dementia or psychological/physical disabilities. – You must also have good road and street knowledge of the neighborhood(s) or you are willing to learn this. – PC proficient (e-mail, dropbox, planning program). In addition... – We will ask you for a VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct), you can declare these costs. Availability – As a journey planner you work half-day shifts, approximately 8:45 am to 1:00 pm. In the future we will work with a central planning team and we may also be available in the afternoons. For this position you are available for one (or more) fixed half-days and, if possible, flexible in the event of emergencies. – We count on you, but we also understand that you may sometimes be unavailable due to... a holiday or in case of unforeseen circumstances. What do we offer A no-nonsense organization in which we interact with each other in an informal and collegial manner. Together we ensure a pleasant working atmosphere. Volunteers are insured against accidents and third party liability during their volunteer work. We organize volunteer meetings several times a year. This meeting is valuable for connecting with each other and improving services. Volunteers are a valuable addition to organizations whose clients we transport and to people from the neighborhood. That is why we believe it is important to provide instruction and training to our volunteers. For example, training in dealing with people with disabilities or telephone services.
