We are looking for voluntary work coaches in Haarlem. The voluntary work coaches of the Council for Refugees offer tailor-made solutions to refugees in the municipalities of Haarlem to take their first steps in society towards work or study. The aim is to work on a better future perspective through suitable activities. What are you going to do • Mapping qualities and skills through conversations. • Investigate professional image • Create a resume • Actively searching and approaching companies for (volunteer) work, internships, network conversations and etc. • Guiding, monitoring and evaluating (volunteer) work, internship, etc. Why volunteer at the Council for Refugees • Substantive challenge. • A great opportunity to develop yourself and to gain this experience. • The satisfaction of seeing people take steps and become more powerful. • Independent work but also part of a team. What are you bringing • Being able to think creatively, looking for possibilities and starting points in people, working towards a goal step by step. • Empathy, interest in coaching. • Patience, sometimes persuasiveness. • To have some knowledge of the labor market/education opportunities or the willingness to invest energy in order to obtain this. • Good communication skills at various levels. • Affinity with the target group (other cultures). • Able to work independently. Working hours: At least 6 hours a week, preferably more. In principle, the supervision of a client lasts for 1 year.
